Use the RCA-type INPUTS to connect the cable coming from the car radio or preamp output.

9

The ATTENUATOR switch determines the input sensitivity of the ULTRAFEX CAR. When your car radio pro-

vides a line-level signal (e.g. for connection to a power amp), the sensitivity should be set to “LINE LEVEL”.

When you wish to connect the speaker outputs of your car radio to the inputs of the ULTRAFEX CAR, set this

switch to “FROM AMPLIFIER”, so as to avoid damage to the input stage of the ULTRAFEX CAR.

10

The RCA-type OUTPUTS on the ULTRAFEX CAR are connected to the inputs of your power amp.

11

Use this cable to supply the unit with power. Connect the red cable to +12 V and the black cable to mass (-).

Please note the instructions given above. The green cable can be seen as the ULTRAFEX CAR’s power switch.

As soon as a +12 V voltage is applied to this cable the unit is activated. So, when you connect the green cable

to the antenna control output of your car radio, the ULTRAFEX CAR will be switched on together with your radio.

Your power amp will certainly have a similar connector, so that you can connect both devices to the car radio.
