Switching on the Tester/
Auto Power off:
If the pushbutton
12
is pressed, the
Voltage Tester can be switched on without
applying any voltage to the test probes.
If no voltage is applied to the test probes
and no continuity is detected, the Voltage
Tester automatically switches off again after
approx. 20 seconds.
function Test/Self-Test:
• Switch on Voltage Tester by pushing
the button
12
and connect test probes.
The LED for continuity test Rx
7
shall
be lit. If this LED is not lit, the batteries
shall be changed. If the battery symbol
is indicated on the display, the batteries
must be changed (2100-Beta only).
• Before and after use, always test the
voltage testers on a known voltage
source.
W
The voltage testers must no longer be
used if one or more functions fail or if no
functionality is indicated.
W
Remove discharged batteries from the
Voltage Tester to prevent any leaks.
The voltage display functions even
without batteries at voltages >24 V (display
via LED row)
The voltage testers 2100-Alpha and
2100-Beta feature a connectable load which
trips a 10 mA or 30 mA RCD/FI earth leakage
circuit breaker. For voltage tests (L against
PE) in systems with RCD/FI earth leakage
circuit breaker, the RCD/FI earth leakage
circuit breaker can be tripped when the two
push buttons
11
are pressed.
Voltage Test
The following AC/DC voltage steps
can be displayed without pressing the two
pushbuttons: 24V, 50 V, 120 V, 230 V, 400V,
690 V.
When both push buttons
11
are pressed,
a lower internal resistance is switched to
suppress inductive and capacitive voltages
(load test). At the same time the +12 V and
-12 V display is also activated.
The duration of the test with lower internal
resistance (load test) depends on the level of
the voltage to be measured.
follow the safety instructions. connect both
test probes to the test object.
• The voltage testers switch on
automatically from a voltage of approx.
24 V.
• The voltage is displayed by an LED row
3
, the 2100-Beta also indicates the
voltage digitally on the LCD display
9
.
• In the case of AC voltages the “+” and
“-” LEDs are lit simultaneously.
• The Voltage Testers feature an LED row
with the voltage indication 12 V, 24 V,
50 V, 120 V, 230 V, 400 V, 690 V.
• In the case of DC voltage the polarity
of the indicated voltage refers to the
Voltage Tester test probe .
• When the two push buttons
11
are
pressed, the internal load is applied
and the 12 V light-emitting diodes are
also lit.
