Space and Ventilation Requirements
The CESI 8000 High Performance Separation System must be installed on a level and stable working
surface capable of supporting 226.7 kg to 272.1 kg (500 to 600 lbs) without bowing by more than 6.35
mm (1/8 in.)
Space Requirements
The CESI 8000 Mobile Cart dimensions are shown in Figure 2.2 . In addition to space for the cart itself,
allow additional space for the CESI 8000 instrument. Figure 2.3 illustrates the recommended system
setup.

IMPORTANT
For the AB SCIEX CE-MS configuration, a 14-ft Ethernet cable is provided. The maximum space
though between the CESI 8000 and an AB SCIEX 5600 controller should not exceed 13 ft.
Ventilation Requirements
Adequate space must be provided around the CESI 8000 instrument for ventilation and access to the
communication connectors. Allow at least 4 inches on all sides. Refer to
Figure 2.1 for overall CESI
8000 instrument dimensions.
