CEQ™ 8000 Genetic Analysis System
Mean, Data Points & Standard Deviation
The lower left area of the Peak Ratio window displays system generated values for
each of the calculated columns in the Peak Ratio Result Table. Based on the reference
and test peaks selected, the system will calculate the
Mean
, the
# of Data Points
and the
Standard Deviation
.
Selecting a Reference Trace
A reference trace is a user selected trace assigned as a reference by the system for
comparative analysis of peak height and area. The reference trace selection can be
made from either the Peak Ratio Result Table or from the Fragment Result Set Traces
areas of the window.
•
To select the reference trace from the
Peak Ratio Result Table
,
right-click
on
your selection to open the drop-down menu.
•
Select the
Set Result As Reference
command.
•
The fragment result will be marked with an “R” in the left-most column to
distinguish it as the reference trace.
•
The corresponding reference result trace will be highlighted with a dark
background and moved to the top of the Fragment Result Set Traces area of the
window to distinguish it as the reference result trace.
•
To de-select the reference result
, right-click on the reference result and select the
Set Result As Reference command once again to toggle the command to the “off”
position (unchecked).
•
Once de-selected, the “R” will be removed and the trace will be returned to its
original highlight status and position in the Fragment Result Set Traces area of the
window.
•
To select the reference peak from the Result Set Traces area
,
right-click
on
your selection to open the drop-down menu.
•
Select the
Reference
command.
•
The result trace will be highlighted with a dark background and moved to the top
of the Result Set Traces area of the window to distinguish it as the reference result
trace.
•
The corresponding result will be marked with an “R” in the left-most column to
distinguish it as the reference peak.
•
To de-select the reference result
,
right-click
on the reference result trace and
de-select the Reference command once again to toggle the command to the “off”
position (unchecked).
•
Once de-selected, the “R” will be removed and the trace will be returned to its
original highlight status and position in the Fragment Result Set Traces area of the
window.
