Preparing Other Integrated Devices
Overview
This section details the necessary workspace and electrical supply and power quality required for a
Biomek NX
P
Laboratory Automation Workstation integrated with other devices.
Preparing the site for other devices includes:
• determining adequate space is set aside for devices integrated to the Biomek NX
P
instrument
(see Dimensions for Integrated Devices ).
• electrical supply and power are adequate for operation (see Electrical Component
Requirements ).
Dimensions for Integrated Devices
Use Figure 4.1 and Figure 4.2 to determine adequate space for the Cytomat device and any other
optional integrated devices.
Leave a minimum of 2 feet behind the Biomek NX
P
instrument for service access and 2 feet in front
for instrument access.
NOTE
A Biomek NX
P
instrument with integrated devices may be controlled through Biomek Software or as
a Biomek Assay Workstation controlled through SAMI Workstation EX software.
