Offroad navigation
Depending upon the setting under "The
Offroad key" on page 64, you can start a
guidance to the destination if you are in
an non digitised (offroad) area or if your
destination is in an non digitised are.
With an activated offroad function the
Traffic Assist guides you as the crow flies
to:
• the next digitised street or
• the nearest digitised road of your desti-
nation.
Destination in offroad area
You can enter a destination in an non dig-
itised (offroad) area by entering coordi-
nates (see page 55) or by selecting the des-
tination in the map (see page 51).
After you have entered the destination and
started the guidance the Traffic Assist di-
rects you to an digitised road near to your
offroad destination.
When you reach the calculated point (grey
destination flag) on the digitised road the
Traffic Assist directs you in air direction
to your entered destination by using an di-
rectional arrow.
Start point in offroad area
If you start your guidance in non digitised
(offroad) area the Traffic Assist guides you
in air direction (as the crow flies) using an
directional arrow to the next digitised
street.
The point where you reach the digitised
road is marked with an grey destination
flag. After you have reached the digitised
road guidance continues with the regular
navigation.
Notes on the legal situation:
Observe the applicable regulations in the
country in which you are driving. Driv-
ing a vehicle off official roads is not per-
missible in all countries.
