MIXING
12-13. Release the lid and remove the basket using the spatula. Depending
on the recipe, either keep the cooking water or discard it.
14.
Empty the food into the jug and insert it onto the device.
15.
Place the mixing cover horizontally over the jug using the Beaba
spatula. Ensure that the cover is resting on the 6 lugs inside the jug
so that it does not slip down when mixing.
16.
Lock the jug’s lid.
17.
Plug in the device and turn the button to the right using pulses
lasting a maximum of 5 seconds until you have obtained the desired
consistency.
18-19. Open the lid and remove the mixing cover using the Beaba spatula.
N.B.:
When preparing smoothies, dice the fruit, taking care to remove any
seeds, empty the pieces into the jug and then follow the mixing procedure.
Pour out your preparation taking care to hold the mixing cover.
REHEATING AND DEFROSTING
• The food to be reheated or defrosted (will) SHOULD be placed in a suitable
container, and then placed in the cooking basket without a lid.
• Measure 1 to 3 doses of water according to the amount of food to be
reheated and then follow the cooking cycle instructions.
• When the sound signals marks the end of the cycle, remove the container
with a cloth (caution: the residual water is very hot at the end of the cooking
cycle) and mix the contents with the Beaba spatula to obtain an even
temperature.
N.B:
Although it is always best to use fresh fruit and vegetables which have a
high quantity of vitamins, it is also possible to cook frozen fruit and vegetables
which have been defrosted in the BABYCOOK Solo’s jug or in the fridge (never
defrost food at room temperature).
DESCALING
• When the steam button turns red, it is necessary to descale the heating
reservoir.
•
The heating reservoir must be descaled only with white (distilled)
vinegar or the Babycook cleaning product.
Ensuring that the device
is cold and not connected to the mains, pour a mixture of 110 ml of water
and 110 ml of white (distilled) vinegar, or 110 ml of water and 110 ml of the
Babycook cleaning product into the heating reservoir. Leave for the night
and then empty. Repeat the operation if necessary until all the lime has been
removed. Connect the device to the mains and then complete two heating
cycles using water only in the heating reservoir (3 measures) in order to rinse
it well. Before the 2
nd
heating cycle, press on the steam button for a few
seconds to reset the cycle counter. The steam button will turn white. Then
clean the jug and accessories with warm, soapy water.
•
Never use a chemical descaler or a coffee machine descaler in the
heating reservoir.
MAINTENANCE
• Always unplug the device before cleaning.
• Rinse any of the accessories in contact with food immediately with soapy
water to avoid germs.
• After cleaning the mixing blade, ensure that the seal has been inserted
correctly.
• Babycook accessories are not suitable for sterilising.
• The jug and its lid, basket, mixing cover and mixing blade are dishwasher-
proof. Extended dishwasher cleaning speeds up the premature ageing of
the parts.
