Installation Instructions
1. Remove the top cover of the ATB-300 unit. Remove the rear cover
screws, two on each side and three top front panel screws and put aside.
2. Remove the GPIO 2 hole cover.
3. Install the Alarm Status Relay board using the supplied hardware. Take
care not to overtighten the hex jack screws see Fig. 1
4. Refer to the installation diagram below showing the ribbon cable
connection see Fig. 2. Remove the existing 16 position ribbon cable
already installed between LAN interface board J3 – IC2/SPI connector and
P7 on the main DSP board. Install in its place the supplied cable noting
red stipe pin one is to the left of the observer when viewing the unit from
the front.
5. Before replacing the cover inspect your work and make certain the newly
installed board and cable look the same as in the photograph. Apply
power to the unit and note that the display indicates that it recognizes that
the Alarm Status board has been installed see Fig. 3. Once this is done
you can apply valid audio above threshold to each of the inputs to verify
proper operation. Each relay should close after 5 seconds of valid audio
being presented to the respective input. The relay will remain closed as
long as valid audio is present for at least a five second interval. If audio is
removed for at least five second the respective relay will open indicating a
no audio condition.
6. Replace the cover on the unit and place back into service.
