8.2.2 QC Reports
The QC report details the progress of BD FocalPoint™ GS Review Station processing for each
slide in the print set. Generating interim versions of this report and analyzing this progress
determines when it is appropriate to generate the Final QC Report that details which slides are
the most appropriate candidates for QC rescreening.
The QC report is presented in rank order. This report:
•
provides a list of any case flagged or queued to the QC mode (designated as RFS and
eligible for QC).
• identifies supplemental QC cases in real time assuring at least 15% of qualified NILM slides
are designated for QC Review .

Evaluation This column displays the Interpretation/Result category
for the slide as designated by the BD FocalPoint™ GS
Review Station reviewer.
Notes This column displays any notes about the slide that were
added by the BD FocalPoint™ GS Review Station
reviewer.
Status This column displays the processing action for the slide.
Actions that may display are:

Ready for Signout
Awaiting Further Review
Awaiting QC Review
Signed Out

Definition
Barcode This column displays the number from the slide barcode
label.
Quintile This column displays the quintile into which the slide falls.
Quintiles are formed by dividing the print set rankings into
five equal groups.
Ranking This column displays the slide’s rank within the print set.
The higher a slide’s ranking, the more likely that slide is to
contain areas of abnormality. The highest ranking is
quintile 1.
