Reposition the sensor.

Try a new sensor or contact your
authorized service representative for
help.
The pulse rate is
erratic, intermittent,
or incorrect.

sensor is improperly
positioned on the patient.
The patient is experiencing poor
perfusion.
The patient is moving too much.
There is too much ambient light
around the SpO

sensor.
Defective sensor or patient
cable.
Reposition the sensor on the patient.
Confirm signal level with PI and signal

Make sure that the patient remains
still. Place the extremity on a pillow
that acts as a buffer to motion.
