Enabling the Software with the Password
To install software requiring a password, you use the appropriate
DEFINE SERVER PROTOCOL command. You can access this
command using a Telnet connection or through the terminal server port.
Follow these steps:
1.
At the non-privileged user prompt, enter the SET PRIV
command to set the privilege level to privileged (the default
non-privileged prompt is TS3395>):
TS3395> set priv
2.
Enter the password (the default password is system):
Password> system
3.
At the privileged prompt, enter the DEFINE SERVER
PROTOCOL ENABLE command to choose the protocol you
want to enable (for example: IPX, LAT, TN3270, Xremote,
and ARAP):
TS3395>> define server protocol
[protocol] enable
If you want to enable the Multisessions feature, enter the DEFINE
SERVER MULTISESSIONS ENABLE command at the prompt:
TS3395>> define server multisessions enable
4.
Enter the password you obtained from Bay Networks:
Password>
xxxxxxxx
5.
Enter the following command and press the Return key to
initialize the software (pressing any other key will abort the
installation process):
TS3395>> init delay 0
This completes the initialization of your keyed software capability on
your Model 3395/3395A Terminal Server.
