5. Before placing the sprocket cover into the positioning groove, verify that the adjusting nib is in the adjusting
hole on the guide bar.
6. Place the sprocket cover into the positioning groove.
7. Lock the sprocket cover with a guide bar screw.
IMPORTANT
: Tighten with fingers only.
8. Adjust the chain tension.
9. Securely tighten the guide bar screw with a Hexagon wrench.
CAUTION!
Do not place the chain on the saw backwards. If the chain is backwards, the saw will vibrate
badly and will not cut.
Storage
If the saw is being stored for more than 30 days, follow the steps below:
1. Remove the battery from the chain saw.
2. Charge the battery fully.
NOTE
: It could take up to 7 hours to completely charge the battery.
3. When the battery is completely charged, remove it from the charger and put the protective cap on the battery
terminals.
IMPORTANT
: To prolong the battery life, avoid leaving the battery in the charger for extended periods of
time (over 30 days without use).
4. Remove and clean the guide bar and chain. Clean the guide bar and chain by soaking them in a petroleum-
based solvent or a mild soap and water mixture.
5. Dry out the guide bar and chain.
6. Place the chain in a container filled with oil. This will prevent rust from forming on the chain.
7. Wipe a thin coating of oil over the surface of the guide bar.
8. Wipe off the outside of the saw body. Do this with a soft cloth dampened with a mixture of mild soap and
water.
9. Store the chain saw and battery:

In a high or locked place, out of children’s reach.
−
In a dry place.
−
In a carrying case or with the scabbard over the guide bar.
Battery Disposal and Recycling
This product uses nickel-cadmium batteries. Local, state, or federal laws
may prohibit disposal of nickel-cadmium batteries in ordinary trash.
To help protect the environment and conserve natural resources, please
dispose of batteries properly. You may contact your local recycling centre
for information on where to drop off the batteries.
