Operation
1. Before using the engraver you must install the engraving
tip first. To correctly install the engraving tip, loose the tip
release screw located at the hole of the engraver (Figure 1)
Insert the tip through the centre of the hole of the engraver
and firmly tighten the tip release screw. Make sure that the
engraving tip is firmly positioned with the tip release screw.
To remove a worn-out engraving tip, loosen the tip release
screw and remove the engraving tip (Figure 1)
2. To use the engraver, turn it "ON" by pushing the on/off
switch located at the top of the tool (Figure 2). Hold the
engraver at an angle, like you would hold a pen. Gently hold
the unit while comfortably rest your arm on a table.
Do not press down hard while engraving. Use light pressure
while guiding the point over the material, go a little bit
slower as when you are writing.
3. The stroke adjustment dial located on the side of the
engraver controls the stroke length and therefore the depth
of engraving (Figure 3).

4. This is not intended to be used as an "OFF" switch. As a rule of thumb it is advisable to select
the lowest stroke adjustment dial which is able to produce a mark deep enough to satisfy your
requirements. . It is recommended that you practice the different adjustments on scrap materi-
al before you start.
5. The supplied engraving tip is of carbide steel. Under most conditions it will work nicely on
glass, steel, ceramic and other hard materials. However, for industrial and commercial tasks
where an ongoing use is required, it is recommended to use a diamond tip.
WARNING: Do not engrave on electronic items such as CDs, DVDs, etc. since it can damage the
items.
