SETTING UP THE IR / RF Wi-Fi
CONTROLLER
1. Download the e-control app
a. Using an Android device; install the ‘e-control’ app from the Google
Play Store.*
b. Using an Apple device; install the ‘e-control’ app from iTunes App Store.*
Note - Data charges may apply if downloading via mobile connection, check with your
mobile carrier for details. ALDI Stores & the supplier (Winplus) take no responsibility for

2. Connect to power
Connect the micro USB cable to the IR / RF Wi-Fi Controller. Insert the USB end into the
power adaptor, then connect to a power outlet and switch on. Ensure the blue LED on the
IR / RF Wi-Fi Controller is flashing rapidly at about 5-6 times per second.
3. Pair Controller
Making sure your smartphone is connected to your home Wi-Fi network, open the
‘e-control’ app. Input your network name and password, then press ‘Configure’. You
will be greeted with a ‘Configuration success’ screen. Select the IR / RF Wi-Fi Controller,
‘eRemote’, to continue.
