Open the back cover by pressing the Open Button. Insert 6 x D Batteries then close the
cover until it locks. To activate the megaphone press the ON/OFF button on the back cover.
When using the megaphone, place your lips as close as possible to the microphone orifice
on either the main or remote microphone. Adjust the volume control to the desired level
without causing any howling or feedback. Press ALARM button to activate the siren
function. To record, first remove the remote microphone and use the main microphone on
the body of the unit. Then, set the volume level to minimum and press the RECORD button
and note the indicator light which comes on. Make your recording up to 10 seconds, then
press RECORD again. To activate the recording on a loop, press PUT SOUND PLAY button.
Note that the instruction sheet included in the unit talks about a press to talk button on the
pistol grip. This is a misprint as the MP1.2 is not equipped with a trigger function.
When inserting batteries please take care to ensure correct polarity. Insert the batteries
with the (-) marks on the batteries aligned close to the spring in the back cover. When the
megaphone will not be used for long periods always remove the batteries to prevent
leakage. Please note that using drained batteries will lower the output level.
