Requirements

This chapter lists the camera models covered by the manual. It provides the general specifications
for these models and the basic requirements for using them.

3.1

Models

The current Basler dart BCON camera models are listed in the top row of the specification tables
on the next pages of this manual. The camera models are differentiated by their resolution, their
maximum frame rate at full resolution, and whether the camera’s sensor is mono or color.

All dart BCON camera models are available in three variants:



Bare board

: This variant consists of a circuit board only.



S-mount

: This variant consists of a circuit board with a camera front attached. S-mount lenses

can be attached to the lens mount on the camera front.



CS-mount

: This variant consists of a circuit board with a camera front attached. CS-mount

lenses can be attached to the lens mount on the camera front.

Unless otherwise noted, the material in this manual applies to all of the camera models listed in the
tables. Material that only applies to a particular camera model, to a subset of models, or a variant,
will be so designated.

The dart S-mount color cameras are not equipped with an IR cut filter. If you want
to operate a dart S-mount color camera with an IR cut filter, you must attach a
lens with an integrated IR cut filter to the camera.
