Installation

Please proceed in the following order:
1.  Attach the enclosed rubber washer onto the hand shaft.
2. Attach the clock movement from the back through the borehole to the clock-face and align it horizontally

with the suspension bracket facing upwards.

3. Place the washer above the hand shaft and tighten the clock movement with the middle hexagon nut. In

this process, make sure you don’t tighten the nut too fi rmly to avoid twisting and damages.

4.

Insert the hour hand fi rst and then the minute hand gently to the hand shaft and secure the minute hand

using the small knurled nut. If a second hand is used, the cap nut can be used to cover the hand shaft.

5. Finally insert the second hand into the hand shaft, if used.
6. Align all the hands of the clock to the 12:00 o’clock position.
7. Make sure the hands are aligned parallel to the clock-face so that they don’t touch each other during

operation or rub against the clock-face.

8. Attach the pendulum weight onto the pendulum rod.
9. Unfasten the pendulum suspension bracket from the locking mechanism on the housing’s rear and mount

the pendulum.

The minute and second hands as well as the pendulum should not exceed the following

dimensions and weight:

Minute hand: max. 160 mm / 6 g

Second hand: max. 130 mm / 6g

The pendulum must be able to swing freely.

Inserting the Battery/Rechargeable Battery

•  Insert a battery of type 1.5 V Mignon/AA into the battery compartment on the back of the casing, while

observing the correct polarity. The correct polarity is indicated in the battery compartment.

•  Replacing the battery is necessary when the clock stops or the accuracy of movement decreases.

A rechargeable battery may be used, but due to the lower voltage output (rechargeable battery

= 1.2V, standard battery = 1.5V) and the lower capacity, the service life is shorter.

Setting the time

Set the time by turning the adjustment knob with the clock symbol on the back of the case. The adjustment

knob can be rotated in both directions here.

Care and cleaning

•  Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause

damage to the housing and malfunctioning.

•

To clean the clock movement, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.

Disposal

a) Product

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste. At

the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.

Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.

b) (Rechargeable) Batteries

You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used (rechargeable)

batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.

Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal

in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd =

Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).

Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever

(rechargeable)batteries are sold.

You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.

•  Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
•  If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it

from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:

 - is visibly damaged,
 - is no longer working properly,
 - has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
