Setup location
• Fold the stand backwards and install the product in such a way that it cannot fall down. Choose an even,
flat and stable location for the device.
• There is a screw hole located on the back of the device for attaching the product to a suitable screw.
Inserting / replacing battery
• Remove the battery compartment cover from the back of the device.
• Insert 1 AAA battery and heed correct polarity. Heed correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment.
Replace the battery once the display gets weaker noticeably or turns off at all.
Operation
• Open the window and guide the measuring sensor to the outside.
• The outdoor temperature will be shown in the upper display area (OUT).
• The indoor temperature will be shown in the lower display area (IN).
• Press the button on the rear side to switch between maximum, minimum and current measured readings.
• The display will show the minimum or maximum reading respectively for 15 seconds. After that, it will
permanently show the current reading.
• Press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds to reset the maximum and minimum readings.
Cleaning and care
• Under no circumstances use aggressive cleanings agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions
since these can penetrate the housing or impair functionality.
•
Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
• To prevent scratch marks, do not apply too much force on the surface during cleaning.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory
guidelines.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used (rechargeable)
batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal
in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd =
Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon
on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
(rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Intended use
The product is intended to display indoor and outdoor temperatures. The outdoor temperature is measured
by a wired measuring sensor. The product is suitable for desktop or wall installation. The product is operated
by 1 AAA battery (not included).
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be
avoided under all circumstances.
The measuring sensor is suitable for unprotected outdoor use.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product for
purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Read the instructions carefully
and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

a) General
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous
playing material for children.
•
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, vapours and
solvents.
In addition, protect the display unit from direct sunlight, extreme humidity and moisture.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:

is visibly damaged,
-
is no longer working properly,
-
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
• Make sure the cable does not get squeezed, bent or damaged by sharp edges.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. Allow the device to reach room
temperature before connecting and using it. This may take several hours.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
•
Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
• Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the (rechargeable) battery.
• The (rechargeable) battery should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period
of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged (rechargeable) batteries might
cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle
corrupted (rechargeable) batteries.
• (Rechargeable) batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave (rechargeable)
batteries lying around, as there is risk, that children or pets swallow them.
•
(Rechargeable) batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never
recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
