•  Carefully remove the old valve by turning it out in a counter-clockwise direction using a suitable tool (such

as a 19 mm open wrench). Do not apply force however; this could damage the thread of the radiator.
Carefully catch any water that comes out.

•  Screw in the new valve. The valve is self-sealing, hemp or sealing strips are not needed.

The valve must be installed at the highest point on the radiator.

Install the valve so that the valve head faces upwards or lies in a horizontal position.

In any case, the valve head must not face downward.

•  Depending on the heating system/radiators you may now open the radiators again or refill water into the

heating system.

•  The necessary bleeding happens automatically.

Quick bleed (manual bleeding)

Upon initial start-up (or after the heating system‘s water was drained and refilled during maintenance), a

quick bleed can be carried out.

A quick bleed carried out while hot water is still inside of the radiator or the heating pipes poses

the risk of scald injuries! For safety reasons, perform a quick bleed therefore only when the

radiator is cold.

Have an absorbent cloth or a small container ready to catch the water coming out.

•  Turn the small round valve head by hand 1 - 2 turns to the left  in a counter-clockwise direction.
•  If water spurts out, re-tighten the valve head immediately by hand.

Check valve

An internal check valve will protect against water spurting out. if the valve head is completely loosened.

If, however, the water in the heating system is heavily contaminated, the check valve may not

be 100% leak-proof due to suspended matters. For that reason do not leave the bleed valve

unattended over a longer time, if the valve head is fully screwed in.

Care and Cleaning

•  Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these could dam-

age the enclosure or even impair operation.

•  Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.

Disposal

Please dispose of the product according to the current statutory requirements, when it is no

longer of use.

Safety Instructions

Please read the operating instructions carefully and pay particular attention to the safety

instructions. We do not assume liability for injuries/material damages resulting from fail-

ure to observe the safety instructions and the information in these operating instructions

regarding the proper handling of the product. Furthermore, in such cases, the warranty/

guarantee will be null and void.

contact our technical customer service or other professionals.

b) Installation

•  The installation should only be carried out by persons with specialized knowledge related to

the installation (for example, heating engineers, installers, etc.).

•  Incorrect installation involves various hazards, such as the risk of scalding due to hot water

in the heating unit, the risk of injury due to overpressure in the heating unit. Moreover, huge

material damages may arise due to the water coming out.

•  The radiator must be de-pressurised prior to the installation. That is why the heating unit must

be switched off first. After that, the water in the heating unit likely needs to cool down.
In a final step, the water of the heating system must be drained, if necessary. Keep in mind

that water may still run out of the radiator, in which you want to install the bleeder.

Installation

Observe the safety instructions! In cases of doubt allow a professional to remove the old

valve or to install the bleed valve!
Warning!
The radiator and the water of the heating system must have cooled down; otherwise there is a

risk of scald injuries!
Also the radiator and the heating system must be depressurized. Depending on the available

central heating system, radiators can be isolated individually.
Caution!
Even though you have drained the water from the heating system (if radiators cannot be isolated

individually), a lot of water, which will still remain in the radiator or the pipes of the heating sys-

tem, can flow out when removing the old valve.
In any case use a suitable container and protect the areas below or behind the radiator against

water squirting out with appropriate covering.
