Regeneration
In the case of dishwashers with built-in water softener and when rEG message
blinks in the display, it is necessary to execute the regeneration cycle to restore the
correct operation of the softening system.
To this end, proceed in the following way (Fig. 11):
1. Empty the dishwasher.
2. Clean the wash-tank, observing indications in Section 6 'Cleaning' .
3. Remove the bottom sieve.
4. Open the salt dispenser in the tank.
5. Fill the tank with approx. 250
–300 g of regeneration salt (kitchen salt, without
additives; grain: 1
–2 mm).
6. Close the salt dispenser firmly.
7. Make sure, the overflow is removed.
8. Close the appliance door.
9. Switch the appliance on with ON/OFF key (1).
10. Select the regeneration function by repeatedly pressing the program selection
key (3), until rEG is shown in the display.
11. Press the Start (4) key to activate the regeneration cycle.
The regeneration cycle starts and lasts for approximately 20 minutes.
Then the appliance switches off automatically.
NOTE!
Do not switch the dishwasher off during the regeneration cycle.
