Braking
●
Turn the accelerator handle to its initial position and depress the front and rear brake
levers
●
You brake correctly when you apply the brake levers progressively
●
For the most effective braking, use both brakes simultaneously.
●
Use pulse braking when descending a hill. This will avoid overheating and damaging
the brakes.
Caution: use the front brake lever with extreme caution so as not to lock the front
wheel on a slippery surface, which could cause you to lose control of the vehicle. Avoid
locking the rear or front wheel. Take extra care on unpaved roads, during snow and
rain, or when roads are slippery.
Parking
Turn on your turn signal so that other drivers notice your intention and turn quietly to
the right. Turn the handle forward, press the front and rear brakes (the stop light will
come on, signaling other drivers). Stop, place the vehicle on center support and turn
the key to the OFF position. Lock the ignition and hide the keys in a safe place.
