Getting started 

Before the first time use 

1.1. Rinse the 

pitcher parts.

1.2. Screw the 

cartridge firmly into 

the funnel reservoir.

1.3. Place the funnel 

reservoir into the top 

portion of the pitcher.

1.5. Repeat step 1.4 twice 

and discard the filtered 

water as this will rinse 

away any loose activated 

carbon particles and will 

prepare the filter cartridge 

for use.

1.6. When pouring filtered 

water, hold the funnel 

reservoir lever down with 

your thumb.

Recommended unit service life is 5 years. 

Storage temperature: -13°F - +104°F (-25°C - +40°C )

Filter cartridge should be replaced after 3 months of use regardless

of the amount of treated water used.

1.4. Fill the funnel reservoir 

with cold water up to the brim 

and wait until the water 

in the funnel reservoir is 

filtered into the pitcher.

For best results when filling

reservoir, pour tap water on either 

side of filter instead of directly 

over the top of the filter opening. 

All BARRIER pitchers are BPA-free and are made for for filtering tap water for 

drinking. Our products are designed on the basis of the most advanced water 

treatment technology and contain highly efficient materials and components.  

The pitcher is supplied with a BARRIER-4 Standard replaceable filter cartridge 

for tap water. The filter cartridge contains a combination of high quality 

activated carbon and ion exchangers to reduce aesthetic chlorine from the 

water. It also reduces unpleasant odor and improves taste.

Each pitcher is equipped with a device that is designed to keep you informed 

about the filter life status and to let you know when it is necessary to replace 

the filter cartridge for optimum performance. Failing to replace the filter 

cartridge after its useful life has expired will affect its performance.

PERFORMANCE DATA SHEET BARRIER-7 (Iron) filter

The Eco, Grand, Premia, Grand Neo, Norma, Extra and Style pitcher systems 

have been tested according to NSF/ANSI 42/53 for reduction of the 

substances listed in the tables to the right utilizing any BARRIER cartridges. 

The concentration of each of the indicated substances in the tables in 

water entering the system was reduced to a concentration less than or 

equal to the permissible limit for water leaving the system, as specified in 

NSF/ANSI 42/53.

The Eco, Grand, Premia, Grand Neo, Norma, Extra and Style pitcher systems 

have been tested according to NSF/ANSI 372 for Drinking Water System 

Components – Low Lead Content.

Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown 

quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

These systems have been tested according to NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 for reduction of the 

substances listed.  Concentration of each of the indicated substances in water entering the 

systems was reduced to a concentration less than or equal to the permissible limit for water 

leaving the systems, as specified in NSF/ANSI 42 and 53.

The Eco, Grand, Premia, Grand Neo, Norma, Extra and Style pitcher systems have been tested 

according to NSF/ANSI 372 for 

Drinking Water System Components – Low Lead 

Content.
