Press the
button for more than two seconds and less than ten seconds.
Your transceiver is now transmitting a special emergency call sequence that if
received by other transceivers will immediately alert them and if your transceiver
has a GPS receiver fitted will show them your position.
Note:- For security reasons when the transceiver is sending emergency calls there is
no indication from the transceiver either visual or audible.
Note:- your transceiver must be specifically programmed to use this function
To stop the sequence press the
key or turn off the transceiver
To select the mute press the
key once and the current mute will be displayed,
now press the
key successively to select the mute (squelch) type required.
There are three types of mute squelch available, audio (syllabic) mute which only
opens when voice transmission is detected, signal strength mute which opens when
a signal above a preset value (value set in Protected menu section) is present and
Selcall mute which opens when a selcall is received.
To select the scan table you wish to use press the
key for more than 2
seconds and use the
or
keys to select the required scan table then
press the
key.
To view recently received calls press the
key for more than 2 seconds.
Press the
to view New calls. Or use the
or
keys to select
the Inbox or Outbox which contain old received calls
and recently sent calls respectively.
