Adjustment of Brake
Danger
Danger
If the brake wire becomes broken, the
machine will be unable to stop and is
extremely dangerous.
If there are cracks, damage or other defects,
replace it immediately.
Adjust the brake wire if the brakes become
less effective.
Important
Adjust the brake wire so that there is minimal
play with the brake lever, and so that the
brakes do not drag when the brake is
released.
Adjust the foot brake by tightening the
adjustment bolt on the brake wire.
Braking force will decrease if there is more
play with the brake lever, and the brake
pedal will feel lighter.
Reducing play with the brake lever will
increase braking force and make the
brake pedal feel heavier.
