Base Preparation
If installing firepit on an unstructured base, please ensure to
follow these steps:
1. Mark out the location for your firepit. Area should be slightly
larger than 58" in diameter as dimensions of kit are nominal.
2. Excavate for drain stone base (approximately 6").
3. Fill excavated area with drain stone, level and compact. The
finished height of the firepit will be approx. 14.25" above base.
Instructions
Steps
1. Place and center steel firepit liner on prepared base.
2. Place 3"& 6" high blocks per the block layout pattern shown
above. Keep the back of the blocks approx. 2" off of the steel ring.
3. After placing blocks around the ring, adjust the blocks to close the
circle and fit it tightly. If the blocks do not close the circle, move
all the blocks slightly in. If the blocks seem too long, move the
blocks slightly out.
4. Fill gaps between ring and blocks with pea gravel. This will hold
the ring in the center of the firepit.
5. Place the cap layer in a circle around the firepit. Adjust the caps in
or out to make them fit tightly together. Caps should slightly over-
hang the front of the blocks and be slightly forward of the outside
edge of the steel ring.
