DEFINITIONS
Certain aspects of SCUBA diving in general and SCUBA diving using
a Buoyancy Compensator in particular can be inherently hazardous
if ignored or misunderstood.
BARE uses certain captions throughout this BUOYANCY COMPEN-
SATOR MANUAL to emphasize the importance of following the
guidelines.
!!! DANGER !!!
Refers to an immediately dangerous situation that if not averted
will result in death or serious injury.
!! WARNING !!
Refers to a potentially dangerous situation that if not averted
could possibly result in death or serious injury or damage to the
BC that could possibly result in death or serious injury.
! IMPORTANT !
Refers to a potentially dangerous situation that if not averted
may result in minor to moderate injury to you or damage to the
BC.
