5.1 Removing the transport protection bars
What needs to be done?
After the projector is unpacked and placed on its pedestal the transport protection bars at the front and at the
rear of the projector have to be removed.
The transport protection bars need to be removed to connect the hoses of the cooling system with
the projector and to have easy access to the dust filter at the front side.
Required tools
Allen wrench 10 mm
How to remove the transport protection bars?
1. Remove the two fixation screws (reference 1 Image 5-1) in the center of the transport protection bar. Use a 10
mm Allen wrench.

2. Pull the transport protection bar out of its slot.

3. Repeat these steps to remove the other transport protection bar as well.
5.2 Alignment of a table mounted projector
Barco offers a pedestal for the XDL series projector. This pedestal allows for a solid and easy setup
of the projector and chillers that fit underneath the pedestal.
When trying to tilt the projector in an angle beyond what the projector feet can handle, use an
external frame that achieves this angle instead.
Take into account that when using an external frame, the projector feet must be removed
completely and the holes must be used to attach the projector to the rigging frame (using 17 mm
hex screws).
