TCD-361
High-Bright 24” Tower Control Display
The growing reliance on advanced software tools in today’s ATC towers creates a need
for larger HMI display surfaces. At the same time, ATC control towers are typically
characterized by strict spatial limitations and a wide scale of ambient light conditions,
ranging from bright daylight to dimmed night time.
In answer to this, Barco has created the TCD-361, a 24” wide-screen display that
brings optimum reading quality, reliability and user-comfort to the tower control
environment. The TCD-361 offers excellent brightness (more than 350 cd/m
2
, peak typ.
500 cd/m
2
) and a wide dimming ratio (up to 100:1). The display’s integrated Ambient
Light Compensation function automatically adjusts brightness settings in function
of the ambient light conditions. Barco’s unique Automatic Phase Adjust technology
guarantees artifact-free images over time.
The TCD-361 has a slimline, low-height design to allow for high spatial efficiency in the
tower and an excellent view outside. Built on Barco’s near-zero maintenance concept, the
display is easy to set up, and provides internal stabilization, calibration and several Built-In
Test (BIT) patterns for easy diagnostics. Thanks to its thermal management design, the
TCD-361 offers long-lifetime and low-noise operation. In addition, the optional health and
configuration software continuously checks the registered TCD-361 displays for their online
status and warns system administrators for preventive maintenance actions.
