15. RCU CONTROL
About this chapter
It is possible to control the MCM-50 through Remote Control Unit (RCU) and for that the RCU must be in the range of the IR receivers
of the MCM-50 and vice versa. The commands are sent from the RCU though IR signals.
To enable communication between RCU and MCM-50, both must be set to the same IR address.
We can classify the RCU buttons in functional groups:
• buttons for OSD navigation and selection;
• buttons used for data input;
• buttons to control the device;
• buttons to adjust image settings.

15.1 Range of RCU and IR receivers
Effective range of the RCU
When using the wireless RCU, make sure the MCM-50 to be controlled is within the effective operating distance (30 m, 100 ft in a
straight line) of the RCU.
The effective range of the IR receivers is 45 degrees half angle.
