3.11 Checking software version
It is always recommended to update the projector with the latest available software version.
What need to be checked
Use Web Communicator (Diagnostics > Monitoring > Notifications) to double check if a warning message
related to version issue is present in the list of notifications.

When does the system detect a software level issue?
The system will raise a warning message concerning the software version in the following cases:
• If the software present in the new board is too old or not compatible with software already present in the
projector. Need to update the projector with the latest available software version to solve this issue.
• If the previous attempt to update has failed. Need to restart the projector. A new try will be done during the
next start of the projector.
• If just only one of the two slots used to store the software on the board is updated. Need to do a second
update of the projector with the same software version to solve this issue.
What should be done
Use the procedure “ Software update ” , page 35 to update the software and solve the problem. Please note that
a new option appeared.
