4.3 Reset administrator password
About administrator password reset
In its factory configuration, the projector has a default password associated to the default admin user. If for any
reason the administrator lost this password, there is no way to recover it.
The only way to resolve this situation is following the procedure to reset the administrator password.
Procedure is based on principal of public and private keys pair. The administrator needs provide challenge
code to the help desk that will send response code based on this code and the projector serial number.
How to reset administrator password
1. Click on “ Forgot password? ” in the login page.
A new page is displayed.

2. Click on generate challenge button (reference 1).
A challenge key number is generated (reference 2).
3. Click to copy icon (reference 3) to copy the challenge key number in the clipboard.
Tip: Saving this number in the clipboard will allow you to reuse it easily in the following steps.
4. Send a password reset request to the help desk. Provide the challenge key number (already in the clip
board since the previous step) and the projector serial number (reference 4) with your request. Avoid
errors by using
copy icon located near the projector number (reference 5) to copy projector serial number
in the clipboard.
The help desk will generate a response code. This code will be sent to you.
5. Enter the code in Enter response field (reference 6), then click on Apply (reference 7).
If the code is correct, the default administrator user is available again. For more details concerning default
user, please refer to
“ User rights ” , page 53.
The current challenge key will become invalid if you entered the wrong response code three times
or restarted the projector. If this occurred, this procedure will have to be repeated.
