Code 20279: “ LDM 1 – Not configured (initialization failure) ”
Situation Solution
Older or unsupported software
on Laser Driver Module Upgrade the software. See procedure “ Software update via Communicator
(DC update companion) ” , page 249.
Wiring issue 1. Check communication wiring between LDM and Laser Control Board
(connector J500). Make sure it is properly inserted.
2. If problem persists, replace the communication cable.
Code 20280: “ LDM 1 – Fan 1 speed too low ”
Situation Solution
Fan speed too low of one fan
of the Laser Driver Module 1. Check fan wire connection on the Controller Board of the LDM
(reference 1, Image 25-91).
2. Check if the fan is not blocked .
3. Malfunctioning fan. Replacement needed.
For removing and replacing the fan, see procedure “ Removing a fan from
an LDM ” , page 51.
Error on both fans of the LDM.
Malfunction Control Board of

Fan speed too high of one fan
of the LDM 1. Malfunctioning fan. Replacement needed. Remove the fan from the
LDM and replace the fan. See service procedure

2. If problem persist replace the LDM. See service procedure “ Replacing
a Laser Drive Module ” , page 56.
