3. Components of the DB-220 Display
3.5 Ambient Environment Controller (AEC-4000)
Introduction
The Ambient Environmental Controller (AEC) is a device containing four light sensors. These sensors are used to measure the
ambient environment. The control of the AEC is integrated into the software of the control software (See User Guide of RMS-1).
AEC-4000 has been specially developed to be integrated to the DB-220 display. The AEC-4000 may be incorporated to a Barco
LED-wall, measuring the environmental light conditions throughout the day. The modular concept of the AEC-4000 gives rise to
con
fi gurations with maximum fl exibility and controllability . The built-in intelligence of the RMS-1 software allows the system to
detect and con fi gure itself. The mechanical fl exibility and small form enables easy installation and quick servicing. AEC modules
are only to be used in conjunction with Barco LED-walls. RMS-1 has an intelligence control algorithm depending on which the
brightness of the display is calculated according to the luminance input from the AEC-4000 controller.
