Tone Scanning
You can scan for CTCSS tones and DCS codes on active frequencies in frequency mode.
To scan for CTCSS or DCS on active channels, follow these steps:
Procedure:
Tone Scanning
1.
Press the [MENU] button to enter the menu.
2.
Enter either of the following on the numeric keypad.
a.
Enter [1] [0] on the numeric keypad to scan for DCS codes.
b.
Enter [1] [1] on the numeric keypad to scan for CTCSS sub-tones.
3.
Press the [MENU] button to select.
4.
Press the [SCAN] button momentarily.
5.
CT or DCS will start flashing in the display as the radio starts scanning. Once it finds a tone or code in use, it will beep
and stop flashing, indicating that a tone or code has been found.
6.
Press the [SCAN] button to confirm.
7.
Press the [EXIT] button to exit the menu.
