Set up BeoSystem 1
We recommend that you follow the
procedure described below when you
set up BeoSystem 1:
– Unpack and place BeoSystem 1 as
described on the following pages
– Consider the appropriate
surroundings for BeoSystem 1
Guidelines are included on this
page
– Mount the IR receiver
– Mount the screen
– Connect the cables, additional
equipment, and speakers as
described on the following pages.
Do not connect BeoSystem 1 to the
mains until you have connected your
screen, loudspeakers and other
equipment to BeoSystem 1!
For further information about the
close-up socket panel, refer to the
chapter ‘ Close-up socket panel’ on
page 48.
Place BeoSystem 1 in your home
– Make sure that BeoSystem 1 is set up,
placed and connected in accordance with
this Guide.
– BeoSystem 1 is developed for indoor use in
dry, domestic environments only, and for
use within a temperature range of 10–40ºC
(50–105ºF).
– Do not place any items on top of
BeoSystem 1.
– To ensure proper ventilation, allow for at
least 5 centimetres (2”) of space at the
sides of BeoSystem 1 and 10 centimetres
(4”) above it.
– Always place BeoSystem 1 on a firm and
stable surface.
– Do not attempt to open BeoSystem 1.
Leave such operations to qualified service
personnel.
