Preference settings
The
Settings
menu
The Settings menu contains several options which allow you to
connect, disconnect or adjust functions. The options and the
functions they affect are described below.
Choose settings in the menu …
While the phone is in standby, press OK to
access the main menu
Turn the wheel until

Ringer level …
There are four options for ringer volume level. To hear a
sample, turn the wheel to an option and wait.
Ringer melody …
8 different ringing signal melodies are available. To
hear a sample, turn the wheel to an option and wait.
Time and date …
Set the clock, the date and the year.
Handset name …
Give the handset a name up to 16 characters long.
Display news …
Set the flashing of the handset’s indicator light and the
display of new, unanswered calls. Options are ‘On’ and ‘Off’.
Area codes …
Select options to match the requirements of your telephone
company. ‘Area codes’ contains two sub-menus: ‘Dial’ and ‘Area code’.
– ‘Dial’ indicates whether or not area codes must be dialled for local calls.

– ‘Area code’ allows you to enter up to ten area codes.
Language …
Select the language of the display text.
Flash time …
The correct flash time depends on how you have
connected your base. Choose ‘Long’ (450 milliseconds) if the base is
connected to the analogue T-net, and ‘Short’ (270 milliseconds) if it is
connected to a switchboard. You can also choose ‘Customize’ and
select a custom length with the wheel.
