Technical and legal information
16. Do not start cutting until you have a clear work area,
secure footing, and a planned retreat path from the
falling tree.
17. All product servicing & maintenance, other than the
items listed in the user manual, safety and maintenance
instructions, should be performed by an authorised
service centre.
18. A first time user should have practical instruction in the
use of the product and protective equipment from an
experienced operator.
19. National regulation can restrict the use of the product.
Clothing and protective equipment
1. Do secure long hair so that it is above shoulder level.
2. Do not wear loose fitting clothing or jewellery as this
could be drawn into the motor, catch the chain or
undergrowth.
3. Use the following safety clothing and protective
equipment when operating the product:
̛ Helmet with visor and neck guard (compliant to EN
397)
̛ Hearing protectors
̛ Breathing mask
̛ Gloves with approved saw protection (compliant to
EN 381-4, EN 381-7, EN 420:1, EN 388 Class 3)
̛ Protective leggings with approved saw protection
(compliant to EN 381-5, EN 340 Class 1)
̛ Steel toe cap boots with approved saw protection
(compliant to EN ISO 20345 Class 2)
̛ First aid kit in case of injury.
