Using Ping
Device Installer provides the convenience of implementing the Ping network
utility from within the Device Installer window. Ping provides the option of
checking to see whether messages can be sent to and received from a device
on the network at a specified IP address. It also provides information on the
time required for responses from the device.
To open the
Ping Device
window, select
Ping
on the
Tools
menu, or press
F4.
Type the IP address of the network device you want to ping, then press
Enter
or click the
Ping
button. Click the
Clear Status
button to clear the
Status
area.

Using Help
You can access Device Installer
Help
files by selecting Contents on the Help
menu.
