6.1 Communication parameters

1) Devices with firmware version 1.04.000 do not support all functions that are available with version 1.06.006.
For existing applications the sensor provides a Compatibility Mode. This is enabled if the IO-Link master permits only devices with the old device identification
0x030A00. In Compatibility Mode only functions that are contained in FW 1.04.000 are available.
The minimal cycle time (MinCycleTime) of the
BML is 1 ms.
The master can when needed increase the
cycle time, which is why the actual cycle time
used (MasterCycleTime) depends on the
master.
6.2 Process data
The measured value of the BML SL1... is transmitted over
IO-Link as a 32-bit integer value. This value is a relative
specification of the set null point. The output resolution is
1 μm/digit.
In case of error instead of the position the maximum
highest value 0x7FFFFFFF (2147483647 ) is output.
Additionally, the process data is marked as invalid .
