Variant Configuration
The following variants are available:
– Standard
– Comprehensive Condition Monitoring (CCM)
The variants differ only in their process data profiles. The
functions remain unchanged.
7.4.1 Description
This parameter indicates which variant is currently set. The
device variant can be changed either with this parameter
or by using the IO-Link compatibility mode. If this
parameter is written, the device variant is not changed
immediately but instead after the device is restarted. If the
device variant is changed via the IO-Link compatibility
mode, the change in this parameter is visible immediately.
This parameter is not changed by a reset.
After a variant changeover, an inconsistent
configuration may occur because there is no
automatic changeover of parameters.
It is therefore recommended that the setup be
done in the following order:
1.
Variant setting
2.
Perform factory reset.
3.
Check parameters and set valid parameters if
necessary or use Data Storage (see
If the standard variant is used, the device has 32 bytes of
process data. These can be used to exchange the
application data, e.g. read tag data.
In the
Comprehensive Condition Monitoring
(CCM) variant,
only 16 bytes (bytes 0...15) are available for this exchange.
Byte 16 contains information according to the definition of
the Comprehensive Condition Monitoring byte (see section
