Flawless function in accordance with the specification as in the technical data is
ensured only when using original BALLUFF accessories, and use of any other
components will void the warranty.
Modifications to the sensor or non-approved use are not permitted and will
result in loss of warranty and void any liability claims against the manufacturer.
Safety in stru ct io n
These sensors must not be used in application in which the safety of
persons is dependent on the function of the device (not a safety
component acc. to EU Machinery Directive).
This mounting guide is intended for qualified persons only. Read this guide
carefully before installing or commissioning this device.
The operator is responsible for ensuring that local safety regulations are
observed. In particular, the operator must take measures to ensure that a
defect in the device will not result in hazards to persons or equipment.
If defects or non-clearable faults in the device occur, take it out of service and
secure against unauthorized use.

Don't lay the connection cable direct behind the sensor ring-shaped. Instead
cut the connection cable to the needed length.

ensors have already a factory adjustment which is suitable for the
most standard applications, without a user adjustment.
With this adjustment the sensor is able to detect reliable liquid and conductive
medias through container walls made of glass and plastic. The factory
adjustment penetrates container walls made of glass or plastic, even at
thicknesses up to 6mm.

foaming, filming or material build-up.
If necessary, in exceptional cases the factory adjustment can be changed with
potentiometer (4) and the enclosed srew driver.
F u ll le v e l a d j u s tm e n t in e x e p t io n a l c a s e s :
Fill level should be approximately 50% from the active area. If the sensor
already detect the fill level , turn the potentiometer counterclockwise until the
sensor output turn off.
Now turn the potentiometer slowly clockwise until the sensor output turn on
again. Then turn addional a half turn clockwise and the sensor is adjusted.

If the sensor already detect the empty container, turn the potentiometer
counterclockwise until the sensor output turn off.
Now turn the potentiometer slowly clockwise until the sensor output turn on
again. Then turn 3 times counterclockwise and the sensor is adjusted.
