Installation fixture for BMD microwave positioning sensors

Drive BMD into the end position (

): Use the rubber
mallet to tap repeatedly on the pressure plate of the
installation fixture until the sensor has reached its end
position as verified by sound and feel.

Check installation position (see tip at beginning of
section) and if needed bring BMD farther into the
cylinder (back to step 5).

Using the push rod press the BMD up against the stop
while at the same time using 3 M5 set screws at 120°
from each other to attach it.

If needed seal the threaded holes to prevent water
ingress.
9.
Unscrew threaded rod from sensor and pull installation
fixture out of the cylinder.
Use lock nut at the read of the spacer to
turn the threaded rod.
10.
Loosen and remove sensor plug cable pull holder.
11.
Connect sensor plug and adapter plug and install
adapter (see sensor manual).
For cylinders up to approx. 800 mm stroke the installation
fixture can also be used in a shortened form (front section
only).

This requires the preassembled parts to be reconfigured as

Unscrew handle from rear section (

and remove (
