Climbing hills improperly could be hazardous.
Climbing hills improperly could cause loss of
control or cause the ATV to overturn.
Always follow the proper procedures for climbing
hills as described in this section. Always check
the terrain carefully before you start up any hill.
Never climb hills with excessively slippery or
loose surfaces.
Shift your body forward.
Never open the throttle suddenly.
The ATV could flip over backwards.
Never go over the top of any hill at a
high speed. An obstacle, a sharp
drop, or another vehicle or person
could be on the other side of the hill.
To climb a hill with the ATV, follow the
directions below.
1. Speed up and maintain a steady speed
before reaching the top of the hill.
Remember that you must ride at a steady
speed all the way to the top of the hill.
2. Shift your body forward by sliding forward
on the seat. Lean slightly forward. For
steep hills, stand on the footrests and lean
forward.
3. Maintain a steady speed while climbing
the hill.
4. Slow down gradually when you reach the
top of the hill.
