Term
Definition
Analog
Continuously variable as opposed to discretely variable.
Cold Junction Reference
The ambient temperature at the bimetallic junction at the termination point of
thermocouple wires.
Slave Module
One of a series of modules designed to perform high or low level operations as
directed by a master module.
Thermocouple
A bimetallic sensor used for temperature measurements.
TM
Termination Module. Provides input/output connection between plant equip-
ment and the INFI 90/Network 90
®
modules.
TMU
Termination Mounting Unit. A card cage that provides housing for INFI 90/Net-
work 90 termination modules.
