Operation and Control
CAUTION
Large reaction torques can occur on switching on
the machine.

After changing gear and before pressing the
ON / OFF switch, set the speed at the speed
controller to the lowest speed.

Turn the thumbwheel (4) in the direction
of the arrow until it stops (min.).
•
Screw the stirrer with spiral stirrer (Ø max.
160 mm) by hand into the thread M14 of the
toolholder. Then use an appropriate open-ended
spanner to tighten the stirrer, while at the same
time holding the toolholder in position using
open-ended spanner A/F22.
•
After mixing, use an open-ended spanner to
undo the stirrer in the toolholder and unscrew
from thread M14.
•
In case of low-viscosity media, immerse the
stirrer completely and start.
•
Use the ON / OFF switch to start the motor:

Press ON / OFF switch Item (1).
The pressed ON / OFF switch can be locked
by pressing in the locking device Item (2).
Renewed pressing of the switch Item (1)
releases the locking device.
NOTE
Hold the machine with both hands, even if the
switch locking device is latched in the locked
position.

Increase the speed if necessary, using

•
In case of high-viscosity media, immerse the
stirrer by half and at an angle and start.
•
Use the ON / OFF switch to start the motor:

Select a low speed at the beginning.

•
After ending the mixing process, pull the stirrer
out of the material to be mixed as the stirrer runs
down.

Cleaning
DANGER
Risk of injury due to electric shock.
Î
Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out
any work on the high-speed mixer.
The machine must be cleaned after each work
session.
•
Carefully clean the machine and blow out with
compressed air.
•
Ensure handles are dry and free from grease.
•
Clean the stirrer.

Maintenance
DANGER
Risk of injury due to electric shock.
Î
Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out
any work on the high-speed mixer.
The high-speed mixer must be serviced at least
once a year. Further, servicing will be necessary
depending on the wear of the carbon brushes.
Only servicing and repair firms authorised by
Maschinenfabrik OTTO BAIER GmbH may carry
out maintenance of the machine. Also ensure that
original BAIER spare parts and original BAIER
accessories only are used.
