Cleaning Cam-

tors Lenses
Cameras and projector lenses need to be kept clean from dust periodi-
cally. If required, proceed as follows: dust off the lenses with a blower
or with canned air. Persistent dirt should be removed with lens cleaning
fluid. Always drip the fluid onto a cloth or a cotton swab and then wipe
the lenses; never apply the fluid directly onto a lens.
Checking Power
Cable
Mains connecting cable must not show cracks or cuts in the insulation.
If any damage exists, the cable must be replaced by a mains connecting
cable of the same type. See "Safety information" paragraph.
DISCONNECT FROM MAINS
•
Prior to maintenance and service work the unit must be switched off and unplugged!
CAUTION
•
Do not pour liquids directly onto the scanner!
•
Do not use an excessively wet cloth or allow water getting inside the case.
•
Do not use any abrasive cleaners.
•
Do not use solvents such as acetone, isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, chloride, io-
dine, bromide, phenol or other aggressive solutions like denatured alcohol to clean and
disinfect the plastic surface of the device. These substances may be harmful, causing dis-
coloration and/or damage to the plastic materials of the device.

Use care while cleaning the calibration plate, avoid removing, damaging, or scratching the
printed area.

DUST FILTER CLEANING
B9 Scan 500
optical group is equipped with a dust filter. It should be checked periodically
and cleaned or replaced if required.

Remove all the USB, HDMI or DVI cables or other devices plugged to the scanner
2.
Remove the 2 x M3 screws from the back panel of optical group. The dust filter is visible
at the bottom right corner.

Remove the safety M3 screw.
