To select a different transducer that can be used with the same Pro Package:

Point at the transducer type number on the screen and press
[
+/-
]
to select the
transducer you want.
or
•
Press the button on the transducer itself (if it has a button).
To change Pro Package as well as transducer, or to see all connected transducers and
the Pro Packages that support them, see “Selecting a Pro Package or Diagnostic
Setup” on page 42.
Selecting the Scanning Plane
If you are using a biplane transducer, you can select the scanning plane (sagittal or
transverse). The current scanning plane (T or S) is displayed on the at the top of the
screen after the transducer type number.
To select the scanning plane:

Press the appropriate button on the transducer. For details, see the user guide for
the transducer.

Click T or S (whichever is displayed) on the screen and select the value you
want, or point at T or S and press
[
+/-
]
.
The scanning plane in the selected view is updated to the one you select.
Pro Packages and Diagnostic Setups
Each Pro Package contains all the measurement and calculation tools you need for a
particular application area. It also contains appropriate Diagnostic Setups for the
various transducers that can be used with the Pro Package. Each transducer may have
more than one Diagnostic Setup, but one setup will be the default one.
A Diagnostic Setup contains information about the scanning modes that are being
used and all the imaging information for those modes.
Selecting a Pro Package or Diagnostic Setup
The system starts scanning with the default Diagnostic Setup for the transducer and
Pro Package you are using.
The Pro Package and Diagnostic Setup currently selected are displayed in the
Identification area of the screen. See page 67.
To select a Pro Package or Diagnostic Setup:
