126 Chapter 7
To adjust the resolution:
•
Click Res/Hz under General and select the resolution you want.
The current setting is displayed on the screen next to Res/Hz.
Line Density
Line density is a measure of how closely spaced the scan lines are in the ultrasound
image. Increasing the line density decreases the frame rate so that you get finer
resolution but a slower refresh rate.
You can select the line density of the ultrasound image.
Line density is not available when Auto is turned on.
To adjust line density:
•
Click Line Density under General on the left side of the screen and select the
value you want (or point at Line Density and press
[
+/-
]
).
The available values range from 1 to 5.
The current setting is displayed on the screen next to Line Density.
Multibeam
Multibeam is a method for increasing the frame rate by receiving signals from
several directions (at the expense of resolution).
Multibeam is not available when Auto is turned on.
To select the multibeam level:
•
Click Multibeam under General on the left side of the screen and select the
value you want (or point at Multibeam and press
[
+/-
]
).
The available values are 1 and 2.
The current setting is displayed on the screen next to Multibeam.
Resolution
You adjust resolution in the Pro Focus by adjusting the number of focal zones (see
page 123) or line density (see page 126).
Extended Resolution
When B-mode only is scanning, you can use Extended Resolution to obtain better
spatial resolution of the image at the cost of a lower frame rate.
Extended Res. is not available when Auto is turned on.
