Cautions for installing this product

• 

Install this product in a location where representative 
temperature of the measuring object can be measured.

• 

Do not install the product in locations such as the 
following. Temperature may not be correctly measured.  

 Where exposed to warm or cold wind directly.

  

  Where air stagnates or there is a draft. 

  

• 

Where the product cannot be mounted firmly. 

 

• 

Where unauthorized persons can have easy access.

• 

Secure space around the product for maintenance.

Installation procedure (Model TY6300Z1000)

IMPORTANT

• 

Do not leave the cover for the unit and 
terminals detached.

• 

During installation, do not twist, deform, 
flatten, or damage the temperature 
sensing element.

• 

Remove the knockout holes being careful 
not to leave protrusions or burrs.    
Failure to do so might damage the wires 
or cause injury.

(1) Loosen the cover mounting screw and remove 

the cover.

(2) Loosen the terminal cover screw and remove 

the terminal cover.

(3) Remove the knockout hole at the side where the 

wires are pulled in.

Note:Knockout hole is removed by simply pushing it from the 

inside.

(4) Remove the protrusions or burrs at the opening. 
(5) Attach the conduit. 

 

Wiring conduit is commercially available.

(6) With the wood screws, mount and fix the case 

on a wall at an appropriate height.

Note:Be careful not to distort the temperature sensing ele-

ment (coiled).

(7) Connect wires.

(8) Attach and fix the terminal cover to the original 

position with the mounting screw.

(9) Attach and fix the cover with the cover mounting 

screw.

Attaching the grommet (accessory part)

If the left-side knockout hole is used and a conduit 
is not used, attach the included grommet to the 
openings as shown in Figure 3.
The grommet prevents a finger from entering into 
the opening in order not to cause electric shock.

Note:Before wiring, attach the grommet.

(1) Insert the grommet in the knockout hole as 

illustrated in Figure 4.

(2) Push the grommet until the tab clicks.

(3) Ensure the grommet is firmly inserted.

Note:Do wirings through the grommet following the instructions 

in this manual.
