CROSSOVER MOUNTING
n
The in-line crossover comes with an adhesive tape on the backside. Adhere the cross-
over to the lower rear area of the door panel. There is enough place left for the crossover.
n
Now connect the woofer cable to the AXTON woofer.
n
Run the tweeter wire to upper front area of the door panel; to the place of the tweeter
foam shell. Be careful that the cable doesn’t cross the area of the airbag’s opening!
n
There is a switch on the crossover PCB to decrease the tweeter volume level by -3dB.
TWEETER INSTALLATION
n
The tweeter is located behind a cover which surrounds large parts of the door and the
door’s window frame.
Remove the two plastic rivets in area of the door’s hinge. Then you can carefully pull off the
cover from the frame.
n
The original tweeter is fixed in place by two torx 30 screws. Unscrew only these two
screws to avoid that the mirror falls down. Re-insert and tighten up the two torx 30 screws
after you have removed the tweeter.
n
The foam shell, which holds the original tweeter, becomes the new housing for the
AXTON tweeter. You can now mount this foam shell together with the tweeter on the panel.
The wire should be pointing to the bottom of the cover.
n
Now mount the cover including the tweeter back in place. Make sure that the cover fits
perfectly.
